Meet Mrs. Cumming

Here are some facts about me:

I graduated from Atherton High School.  I played volleyball, basketball and track. I had some great teachers there and I  bring their love of life and teaching into my classroom.

I graduated from Central Michigan University -Sports Studies Degree and   Saginaw Valley State University -- Education degree.  I also played volleyball at CMU (FIRE UP CHIPS) and loved it!!  I received my Masters Degree in Dec. 2007 in education.

I taught for one year in Detroit, physical education,  four in Flint, P.E.,  and this is my fifth  year at Swartz Creek.

I worked as a child care director for Atherton Community Schools for eight years. 

I love sports--especially volleyball and THE PISTONS.    The Lions are fun to watch too!  I coach varsity volleyball at Grand Blanc High School.  GO CATS!  GO CREEK!!

I live in Grand Blanc with a bunch of boys!!  My husband, John, and sons, Alex(19) , Dylan (10) and Elek (5). My step-son is 17, Robbie, and he goes to Waterford Kettering.  I love animals.  We have an English Bulldog, Spike, 5,  and SKy.....a blue great dane that is 5 years old.  We rescued her and she is super fun.  I enjoy volunteering at the Humane Society of Genesee County with my son, Dylan.   I would love to have a farm with a bunch of animals!! (but I also love the city life too!)

I really enjoy teaching at Swartz Creek.  I have some really good friends that work with me and the kids are awesome.  It is a great place to work!!
